Fundraising
Why do we ask you for money?
The Jesup Memorial Library is a private library that serves in a public capacity, which means that everyone who walks through our doors can utilize all the library's available services at virtually little or no cost.
We are proud of our library and its staff and the level of service we offer! We circulate about 71,000 items in a community of approximately 5000 permanent residents. This number increases exponentially during the summer season to serve our summer visitors and workers.
How do we pay for what we have?
The support of our community is critical to the livelihood of the library! We depend on the support provided through the following means:
- Annual Appeal
- Memorial Gifts
- Endowment Fund
- Non-monetary Gifts
- Annual Book Sale
- Sundays at Jesup Music Series
- Volunteer Support
